BAUST (Bangladesh Army University of Science and Technology) Khulna is one of the leading private universities operated by the Bangladesh Army. It is established in a temporary campus in the general area of Shiromoni of Phultala Upazila of Khulna District. Shiromoni bears the testimony of one of the greatest tank battle of history that took place during our War of Liberation in 1971. The temporary campus is 500 yards west of Jahanabad Cantonment and 10 km from Khulna City. The university aims to conduct undergraduate courses in various disciplines of engineering according to syllabi leading to Bachelor of Science in Engineering (B. Sc. Engineering) for students from home and abroad.
