He was born on 10 December 1949. He is the 22nd and current President of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh. After a 25-year career as a judge, including various positions, Mohammed Shahabuddin retired as a District and Sessions Judge in 2006. He served as the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) commissioner from 2011 to 2016. Mohammed Shahabuddin took oath as president on April 24, 2023.
