Profile

I am Pulak Kundu, Lecturer in the Department of Mathematics at Bangladesh Army University of Science and Technology Khulna (BAUSTK). I completed my M.Sc. in Applied Mathematics from Khulna University with a CGPA of 4.00, securing 1st position among all schools and faculties. I also obtained my B.Sc. (Hons.) in Mathematics with a CGPA of 3.99, achieving 1st position overall and the highest CGPA recorded in the discipline since its establishment. Prior to that, I completed my higher secondary education from Notre Dame College, Dhaka.

I have achieved academic excellence, earning major awards including the UGC Scholarship (2024) for 1st position and the A F Mujibur Rahman Foundation Gold Medal (2024) in Mathematics. I also received the NST Fellowship (2023) for research on sustainable agriculture and the Dean’s Award from Khulna University. I have maintained top academic positions throughout my studies, with earlier recognition including a Top 10 rank in the National Undergraduate Mathematics Olympiad. My research, supported by national grants, focuses on mathematical modeling and optimal control, and I have published in reputable international journals.

I am deeply passionate about teaching and strive to make mathematics meaningful by connecting it with real-life applications. In my classes, I emphasize project-based learning, encouraging students to engage in surveys, data analysis, and practical activities. My goal is to help students develop a clear understanding of how mathematical concepts can be applied to solve real-world problems.
