The Department of Mathematics is pleased to announce that Mr. Pulak Kundu has joined as a Lecturer on 15 July 2025.
Mr. Pulak Kundu is an outstanding academic with an exceptional record of excellence. He completed his M.Sc. in Applied Mathematics from Khulna University with a CGPA of 4.00 (out of 4.00), securing 1st position among all schools/faculties with 99% marks. Prior to that, he achieved a CGPA of 3.99 (out of 4.00) in his B.Sc. (Honours) in Mathematics, also securing 1st position across all schools/faculties, which is recorded as the highest CGPA in the discipline since its establishment.
He has received numerous prestigious awards and recognitions, including the University Grants Commission (UGC) Scholarship, A F Mujibur Rahman Foundation Gold Medal Award, National Science and Technology (NST) Fellowship, and Dean’s Award, SET School, Khulna University. His academic journey is further strengthened by multiple merit scholarships and national-level recognitions.
Mr. Kundu has significant teaching and research experience. He previously served as a Lecturer at Northern University of Business and Technology Khulna and is actively engaged in research, having worked as a Research Fellow at the Research and Innovation Centre, Khulna University. He has published multiple research articles in reputed international journals, including several Scopus-indexed publications, focusing on mathematical modeling, optimal control, and interdisciplinary applications in agriculture, biology, and sustainability.
His research interests include agromathematical modeling, dynamical systems, numerical simulations, optimal control, and theoretical biology. He has also participated in various national and international conferences, training programs, and workshops, reflecting his commitment to continuous academic and professional development.
The Department firmly believes that his expertise, research excellence, and innovative teaching approach will significantly contribute to strengthening both academic and research activities.
